Description
Korean glass noodles recipe that's super easy to make! Perfect as Korean potluck dish or friends giving or Korean Thanksgiving meal, make Japchae that's delicious and yummy.
Ingredients

- Onions (1/2)*
- Shitake Mushrooms (4-5 mushrooms)
- Wood Ear Mushrooms (1 cup)
- Carrots (Half carrots, sliced)
- Minced Garlic (1TB)
- Spinach (4 oz)
- Meat (4 oz)**
- Oil (2 TB)
- Glass Noodles (4 oz - two handfuls)
- Marinade for the meat
- Soy sauce 2T
- Sugar 1T
- Garlic 0.5 T
- Sesame Oil 0.5T
- Green Onions 1T
- Sauce
- Soy Sauce (4 TB)
- Sugar (2 TB)
- Sesame Oil (2 TB Sesame Seeds (1 TB)
- Pepper
Instructions
- Soak glass noodles in water 40 minutes - 1 hour
- Marinate meat with the marinade sauce
- Blanch spinach and squeeze water out and set aside
- Add garlic in oil and cook until golden
- Add onions and cook until translucent*
- Add carrots
- Add shitake and wood ear mushrooms
- Add salt and pepper
- Set aside the cooked vegetables
- Cook meat until thoroughly cooked
- Add 2 cups of water with half of the sauce and cook the glass noodles
- Add all vegetables and meat into the noodles and add the remaining sauce and mix them together
Notes
*I've skipped adding onions since I ran out of onions that day! So the picture is missing the onions ><
**For meat, I've used Beef Chuck Short Rib meat from Costco. Whenever I buy those, I either marinade it or grill it or use it for soup or dish like Jap Chae. I used one strip of the meat from the package below and sliced them thin.
