I was constantly challenged to find the time to work out and was struggling to find a good place to work out or practice yoga. I used to stretch before going to bed every day. I used to pride myself for being super flexible as I do near leg splits in yoga or barre classes that make you stretch in classes. My flexibility was slowly going away and I could feel the stiffness in my body. The lack of exercise also made me lethargic and more tired. The quick fix was to find a quick 20-minute youtube video that I can do at home to boost energy and get healthy. So in this post, I wanted to introduce 5 youtubers to follow to boost energy & get healthy.
For me, 15-20 minutes was a good time to not feel like a burden since I could fit that in any time of the day. And since I'm doing it at home, there was no need to change, take a shower, or even drive to the location, making it even more convenient.
The only challenge was 'consistency'. Keeping up with my own promise to do 20 minutes of exercise was a challenge! I tackle this problem in my posts here but here are the youtubers that you can follow today that will help you to get healthier!
5 Youtubers To Follow To Boost Energy & Get Healthy
Boho Beautiful
Boho beautiful is definitely my first go to when I want calm yoga exercises. She also has strength building videos that combines Pilates and yoga or even butt work outs that will make your butt sore for days. Hey, who doesn't want to have that apple bottom jeans look? She always picks out the best beautiful locations for her workout, unlike many videos that film theirs in their own home or a studio. The most amazing spot being the Elephant Sanctuary in Thailand where she has elephants bathing in the water in the background! I love her calm voice, that totally suits the yoga style. Being a gymnast in the past, her flexibility and strength is pretty amazing and her videos are sure to inspire you to be more fit!
Ballet Beautiful
I have a thing for ballet. Growing up, I've never had a chance to learn dance or ballet but always wanted to. Ballerina's graceful posture and the flexibility always drew me to ballet. Youtube videos include very short videos that target specific areas of your body and many of them are teasers to get you to purchase their workout DVDs. I haven't purchased the DVD but I still benefited by watching her short clips. Her videos always have a piano music background too so it always puts you in a calm mood.
Yoga with Adrienne
Adrienne is very personable and makes you feel like you are being coached by a neighbor yoga instructor. Her friendly tone and easy to follow workouts are great for any levels of yoga practitioners. She has over 3M subscribers on youtube which already tells you a lot about her popularity. She has a variety of videos for any type of exercise you want so I highly recommend her if you are trying out yoga for the first time and want to get acclimated into yoga world.
Yoga by Candace
Similar to Adrienne, Candace has a variety of yoga videos for any type of exercise you want to do. I love how she breaks down her videos into 10, 15, 20, 30, 45 minute workouts. On days I feel like doing a little longer workout, I search for her 45 minute yoga videos. She also holds yoga retreats in places like Italy which you can watch on her channel. I would one day love to go on a yoga retreat to Italy!
Blogilates
Most of the youtubers I follow produce calm videos that revolve around yoga. But there are days when I want something more fun that makes me sweat it out a little bit. Blogilates videos make work outs fun. I was initially a little bit put off by her exuberance. But once you start watching few, you kind of get used to her personality and style. Her videos are typical 'work out' video style where she constantly says 'One more! You got it! Let's go!' but sometimes that's what's needed to get you going while working out! She has more than 4M followers on Youtube and has more than 500 videos to choose your workouts from.
