If you are looking to plan for this holiday and trying to get a nice gift for your mom, I’ve compiled a list of gifts I would like to get for Christmas as a mom! Also, since I do have to get a Christmas gift for my mother in law, I wanted to put together a list that have worked well in the past as well and what I think would be great this year.
You can get these mostly all under $50 with few exceptions, which you can easily get from Amazon or Etsy.
You might want to plan ahead if you want to personalize any of these for your mom or mother in law.
If you are a daughter, son, or husband planning a Christmas gift for mom, then these will certainly give you good ideas!

Gift Guide For Mom - Christmas Gift For Mom
1. Airpods
I’m not sure how I lived without this! Ever since I’ve purchased this, my walks with my dog or just doing dishes has been so much more pleasant. I normally listen to a podcast or audible and it has made my time so much more pleasant and inspiring. I’ve dropped these so many times that one side stopped working and now I had to get a new one along with this cute Airpod case from Amazon. And I’ve since gotten this for my mom as well. If your wife or mom doesn’t have one, or has a regular one but could use an upgrade to Airpod pro, then she will sure love this gift!
2. Yoga mat + Yoga blanket
I’ve recently upgraded to Lululemon yoga mat, which was actually a mother’s day gift from my husband. If your mom likes to do yoga, pilates, stretches or any floor exercises at home, getting her a nice yoga mat will sure make her smile.
I never knew that there is a difference in yoga mat until I started using the lululemon one.
It’s soooooo much better than the thin yoga mat that kept making me slide. So get her a nice one like Lululemon yoga mat and also yoga blanket if your mom’s knees aren’t all that great. These yoga blankets are so versatile as they work as picnic or beach blanket or table cover.
Your mom will surely appreciate it!
3. Swell oR Hydroflask Bottle
I love love love Swell and Hydroflask bottles.
I used to always just purchase bottled water from a grocery store...until I had my baby and wanted to drink warm water when I’m nursing (see this post here on 15 Postpartum Must Haves if you are interested).
And I cannot live without these!
They are amazing at keeping hot water hot and cold water cold for a long period of time.
If your mom loves to drink coffee, get a coffee mug. Even if your mom already has one, get a different size, and she will surely love to have an extra!
4. Blue Light Glasses
We are always always on either our phone or on our computer, especially after quarantine life started.
If your mom isn’t aware of how blue light coming from these devices affects their sleep and isn’t really good for eyes, then get her blue light glasses to help protect her eyes.
She will be surprised at the thoughtful gift you got her.
5. PJs
Everyone needs a comfy PJ! Even if she has one, everyone can use extra pjs! Now that we spend more and more time at home, having comfy PJs that also look cute, will sure to make your mom happy.
I can use one of these myself right now!
6. Robe
Along with the PJs, you can always use an extra robe.
When the other one is in the wash or has become old, or need a warmer one for the winter….or thinner one for the summer...If you haven’t gotten a robe for your mom as a gift, then this is the year to do it!
I especially love these UGG robes so do check them out!
7. Mug
If you want to get your wife or your mom a nice little ‘I love you mom’ gift that makes her think of you every time she drinks her morning coffee, then getting this cute mug with this saying will surely make her happy!
8. Blanket
Just like PJs….everyone can use an extra blanket!
Get her a new cozy and soft blanket for the cold night’s winter.
If you know what color she likes and how she likes to decorate her home, it’s always a good idea to match that!
9. Face Lotion
This can be a little pricey or may fit in your budget based on what type of brand you are going to get her.
As you know, face lotions can get pricey all the way up to $500 per bottle. But if you are like me and want to stay under $100 for your mother in law’s or mom’s gift, then get here these hydrating and nourishing face creams that will make her skin look dewy and glowy.
If you are getting something for your wife, I would suggest the following, which I’ve used and can vouch that they are really awesome.
As someone who is into Korean skin care routine, I would buy these for my mom friends as well - they are great as gifts since the quality is great and the price is just on point.
10. Home Chef
Okay, I admit. I had ‘cookbook’ here...and thought to myself, who am I kidding! It’s a gift...so it’s better if someone already buy her a nice meal or relieves her from having to come up with what to cook for dinner.
I’ve tried Home Chef and their food was really yummy while it was also really easy to cook.
If you want to take i up a notch, get her a Doordash giftcard for nights she doesn’t want to cook!
11. Slippers
My feet always gets cold. Especially during wintertime, I cannot live without slippers at home. Even when I live in California!
And I’m always looking for cute and comfortable slippers for the wintertime.
And it’s always nice to have extras...you know, one for upstairs.
One for downstairs...one in case you can’t find where it is….always nice to have extra cute comfy and cozy slipper around at home.
12. Apron
Well, if you ask me, I’m not an apron person.
But my mom is!!! She ALWAYS wears them when she’s cooking. A
nd it totally makes sense because your clothes can get soiled while you are cooking.
So, if you know your mom wears an apron in the kitchen, get her these cute aprons! If you want to make it extra special, you can get a personalized apron from Etsy like this one.
13. Journal / 2020 Planner
I always have a journal with me. As someone that loves stationary and notebooks, I have gratitude journal, daily journal, and planner...and I love getting new ones.
So, if you know your wife, mom, or mother in law likes to write on their journal or a planner, this would be a good gift as 2021 is just right around the corner!
14. Gift Cards
Sure, it might be a little less personal. But it sure is practical!!
Although I love it when someone puts in thoughts to get me something nice, I also LOVE getting a gift card so that I can buy whatever I want with it.
Amazon gift cards are great since Amazon pretty much has everything...
BUT if you want her to get more specific things like make up or crafts, depending on her hobbies and her likes, get her a gift card to Sephora or Michaels.
