Tea Party Planning Tips
- Choose a Theme:
One of the key elements of any successful event is the theme. It sets the tone for the entire tea party and makes it more fun and memorable. Few tea party themes you might want to think about are Alice in Wonderland, vintage garden party, or even a Mad Hatter's tea party.
- Set up a Tea Station:
Having a designated tea station makes it easy for guests to pour themselves a cup of tea whenever they please. Make sure to have a variety of teas to choose from and don't forget to include cream, sugar, and lemon slices for those who prefer it.
- Decorations:
Your decoration might really depend on the theme that you choose. But for almost all tea parties, having fresh flowers is a must! You can also skip the theme and have the tea party decorated with flowers and have it more of a traditional way.
- Provide Entertainment:
If your tea party is quite big...or include guys, think about adding a few entertainment activities your guests can enjoy. Depending on what the occasion is, your activity would be related to the event that you are holding it for. Usually for bridal showers, you would prepare few bridal shower games your guests can enjoy.
- Have a Dress Code:
Encourage your guests to dress up for the occasion by having a dress code. Whether it's fancy hats, dresses, or all-white attire, this will add to the charm of the tea party and make it feel more special. Plus, it's a great excuse to wear that dress or hat you've been saving for a special occasion.
